Battery Park

Battery Park is a condominium and apartment development in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood. The location is unique in that it has a direct access to Edgewater Park on the shores of Lake Erie. The development is also within walking distance to the Gordon Square Arts District with its mix of theaters, local retail, restaurants and coffee shops. Battery Park gets its name from the history of the site as an Eveready Battery plant where the first alkaline dry battery was invented and later branded the the Energizer Battery. A major remnant from the original factory—the powerhouse—was retained and hosts the Terrestrial Brewing Company, while the Battery Park smokestack serves as a beacon on Cleveland's west side. Primarily a townhome development, there are also single-family homes and apartment flats. Many properties have roof decks with views of Lake Erie and Downtown Cleveland.
